Comparative Analysis of Patient Experience and Safety Experience of Comprehensive Nursing Service Ward and General Ward with Private Caregiver Employment

Abstract
Objective : The purpose of this study is to compare and analyze the patient experience and safety experience of inpatient medical service in comprehensive nursing service ward(CNSW) and general ward with private caregiver employment(GWPCE) that can help to create a patient-centered medical culture and continuous improvement of medical services.

Methods : Using the original data from the 2019 Medical Service Experience Survey, 110 people with medical services inpatient those who have experienced CNSW or GWPCE were analyzed. The T-test was analyzed for patient experience, recommendation intention, and overall satisfaction by type of nursing service. Cross-analysis was conducted on safety experiences according to types of nursing service.

Results : The patient experience was more positive in the CNSW in the nurse area and systemic area. Satisfaction with the overall hospitalization was also high. The safety experience of inpatient medical service was similar in both groups, but the safety experience of using hand sanitizer was higher in t he CNSW.

Conclusion : It is significant in that it confirmed that the patient experience and safety experience of the CNSW had more effects than hiring a private caregiver. A comparative analysis study on various CNSW models is needed.
